Alexander T., Tele2: Interview

Alexander T., Tele2, Product Manager
Project:
What is the scope of the project?
We wanted them to develop a guidelines book; it’s like rules for development including standard modules, authorization. These guidelines are in a PDF file, some in animation, standard quadrant blogs for our developers. These guidelines help our developers to make different apps better from other developers. It wasn’t the actual software they did for us but we chose them just because they have great experience in software development and we wanted to include their experience for that.
What was the estimated time frame committed for the completion of the project?
We started working with them in December 2015 and they completed the project on time which was really great.
How much time did it actually take for completing the task?
They took about three months.
Please provide an approximate figure (in $) for the work done?
It was about forty thousand dollars.
Did they exceed the committed price point and why?
No, they stayed within the committed budget.
How did you come to know about Redmadrobot?
They are one of the most popular developers, so, we heard about them from some conferences and from our partners.
Why did you choose to partner with them?
Many people recommended them and we did hear a lot about them; also, they were quite seasoned and based on their experience we were confident that they are the right people for this.
Did Redmadrobot evaluate your project scope and requirements correctly?
Yes, it was just clear. We talked to them about what we want, we worked closely on the project, and so, things went smooth from beginning to end.
Did the company deliver as per your expectations?
Yes, they delivered what we expected from them.
Are you satisfied with the sales and customer support service?
Yes, we had regular meetings and discussions with them over cost and time and many other aspects.
Is there anything that makes them stand out compared to other companies (core Strengths)?
I think yes, in Russia, talking about Russian developers because I haven’t experienced Europeans and Americans. So, as per my opinion, they are mostly like European developers because it’s from the way they work on projects, so, they not only follow the instructions and make what was written, but they work on their own, we are proud of their work.
According to you, is there any area that you think they can improve upon?
I don’t think I can share any info because it’s just the beginning of our relationship and we have just completed a project. Of course, we are asking them right now for developing some apps and may be developing a more technical base, so, I think right now that’s all.
Did they offer proactive consultative approach? (Technical advice, design changes etc.)
Yes, they worked closely on projects, so, sometimes, they corrected us, suggested us on solutions where we might have made a mistake; it was really helpful.
On a scale of 1 - 5, how would you rate Redmadrobot on the following parameters: (Where 5 - extremely satisfied and 1 - not at all satisfied)
Quality of work
Five.
Reliability (demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness in communication, cost-effectiveness, meeting deadlines etc.)
When it comes to professionalism, it’s five, but, when it’s about cost, four, because they are one of the expensive developers of Russia.

Ability for Design
Five.
Project Schedule
Five.
Project Consulting (Upfront suggestions)

Overall Score

How likely are you to recommend Redmadrobot to a colleague, out of five again.
